I’ve been building things since I was a kid. Makeshift benches, go‑carts, eventually an arcade cabinet. My dad was a craftsman and working alongside him on our family home is where I learned that doing something right is worth the extra time it takes.

Finish carpentry is where I feel most at home. Getting the joints at the perfect angle, the precision of it. But honestly what keeps me going is the problem solving. Every house is different, every job has something unexpected, and figuring out the right solution is the part I look forward to most.

That mindset is what led me to start Better Valley. I wanted to build something I was proud of. A service where people didn’t have to wonder if the job was done correctly, or brace themselves for a surprise on the invoice. But building a great company means more than doing great work yourself. Part of the challenge now is figuring out how to pass that standard on. I’m realizing it’s all about having great people who understand what it takes and are willing to spend the time to do it right. That’s where my focus is now.

When the job is done, I want you to look at it and feel good. That goes for every job, whether I’m the one on site or not.
